Japanese Food Lab explores the various possibilities of Japanese ingredients and dishes. In the Home Cooking Series, the JAPAN HOUSE culinary curator demonstrates how easily Japanese ingredients and recipes can be prepared at home and enjoyed with friends and family.
Join us for this workshop to learn how healthy and flavorful sushi can be prepared in various ways, using Japanese pickles, fresh vegetables such as cucumbers and avocado, tofu and other soy-based products*. Vegetable and vegan sushi are easier to make, can accommodate various diets, and can be boxed for lunch or a party without worrying about keeping the fish fresh, compared to packing regular sushi. The workshop will also include a demonstration on how to make authentic miso soup using seasonal vegetables to complement the freshly prepared vegetable and vegan sushi.
*Workshop will use soy products and is not suitable for those with soy allergies.
